about adoo
Natalie Rowland (aka adoo) has been singing and dancing and making noise since she was a kid. From piano lessons and acting in school plays to releasing her solo debut album ("Heartbroken 5 Year Old" 2021), Rowland has kept chasing music as she's found it to be the most magical thing in this world.

As a 15 year-old sophomore at Chaminade College High School (West Hills, CA), Natalie created the Heartstringz Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the joy of music to hospitalized children, teens, and the elderly. Heartstringz has provided ukuleles to the patients at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Shriner’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and Motion Picture Television Fund.
Throughout her senior year of high school, she baked birthday cakes for each of the 320 members of her graduating class as a way to get to know her fellow students and to spread good cheer (this adventure is documented on Instagram @natmakescakes).
As a freshman at the College of William & Mary, she was selected to give a TEDx Talk at the College of William & Mary’s TEDx Conference. Natalie is dedicated to fostering deep connections with others through the simplest of things, like ukuleles and cakes, as an outlet of understanding and humanity.
Natalie took full advantage of her time as a Music major at William & Mary, interning at the Kennedy Center and studying Middle Eastern music abroad in Oman. HB5YO was submitted as her senior thesis project, earning her magna cum laude honors. She was awarded the Louis E. Catron Grant for Artistic Development and the Anna Belle Koenig Nimmo Scholarship to support the recording and production of her album "Heartbroken 5 Year Old." She graduated in May of 2021.
